Information You’ve Been Waiting For (But Haven’t Known It)

I have been getting some flack about particular choices of things that I write about. Recently, you guessed it, it has been sugar. Without further a deu.. I give you the Glastonbury public toilets!

When you’re travelling, having access to toilets is a huge thing as you never know when you’ll next come across another. Since having been here, I’ve started going (or at least trying to) to the toilet whenever I have the opportunity to do so. Amusingly, many Brits that I have asked where the washrooms are end up staring blankly at me wondering what I want to wash. So.. in the UK, they are referred to as the toilet, WC (water closet), or loo. (more…)

The Isle of Avalon

When I had initially made a reservation at Glastonbury Bacpackers, I figured that I’d stay for four or five days. I figured that this would be ample time to check out the few things that the town had to offer, and then kick up the feet an grab some R&R. Upon check-in however, I was compelled to check in for a week, as four days goes by so quickly. It helped that the manager/owner, Ben, checked me in and was a super nice, laid back guy. (more…)

Boys Meets Organization

After many days spent trying to find accommodations for the evening, I decided it was time to start planning things a bit better than I had been. The biggest trouble with this was that I had to know where I was going in order to book into a hostel. Oh, the commitment that would be needed!

I sat down and came up with a list of places to go, and decided how many days that I figured would be good in each. First stop would be Brighton to meet up with James for a few days, from there, across the coast to Dover for a couple days to check out the castle and cliffs, up to Liverpool for a day (to pick up my mobile), and then down to Glastonbury for some undefined amount of time.
