It goes without saying that you can’t travel around England, and not go to see Stonehenge. I sometimes call it Stonehedge in fact, just to stay true to the ignorant American label that 90 per cent of Brits give me (and yes, this has really been getting on my nerves). The problem with Stonehedge however, is that it’s out in the middle of no where, and here’s me with no rollerblades, bicycle, or even a skateboard. (more…)

This entry is about my third trip to Brighton, and to get things started, let me reference a quote from my journal. “The weekend was definitely not anything I would have expected or even imagined.”

Why back to Brighton with so many other places to go? The reason is a friend of a friend from Waterloo. An Englishman from Brighton (originally Reading) who went to the University of Waterloo. Oddly, I never met him while he was in Canada, but he hung out with and got to know many of my friends. Me without a telephone and he temporarily without Internet meant that we didn’t meet up during my last visit. I was interested in meeting him, as well as looking forward to seeing what all this raved about Brighton nightlife was like. (more…)
